Most of the trees are on a three-year growing cycle.  A few are dug in two years, and some of the slower trees we grow for four years.  Then the ground is cover cropped for two years before new trees are planted to start the six-year cycle over.

We dig the trees using an OptimalTM tree spade.  The compact size of this digger minimizes damage to trees during digging. Additionally, the ball is not as deep, which helps with shipping. Our customers like the size for storage and planting. All of the trees are shipped in treated burlap and wire baskets.  They have their tops tied and their trunks protected.

All of the trees are grown and
        dug to ANLA standards.
Our most popular size is 2"
        caliper, although we have trees
from 1-3/4" to 4-1/2". We strive
to grow all the trees to #1
standards.  We do not sell #2
        trees, but rather discard trees
that do not meet our standards.

We talk with our customers to try and deliver the trees when they want them to arrive.  We schedule the flatbed trucks and ship the trees covered.  The customer pays the shipping.

We have a one-half truckload minimum tree order.
